What is a trust (fideicomiso)
The legal figure that structures the project and ring-fences the assets.
Definition
A trust (fideicomiso) is a contract in which one party (settlor) transfers assets to another (trustee) to administer them for the benefit of third parties (beneficiaries), with a defined purpose.
Why it is used here
In a real estate development, the trust allows us to:
- Ring-fence the assets of the project from those of its organizers.
- Order the use of funds according to work certificates.
- Define clear rules for contributions and future distributions.
Who is who
- Settlor: contributes the asset or the initial resources.
- Trustee: administers and reports.
- Beneficiary: receives the results as agreed.
What you see on the platform
The app mirrors the trustee's register and publishes the use of funds by work certificate, so you can follow the progress with transparency.
